Headed out this morning between meetings so I had to hustle to get it in. Training back to back nights and last night in particular left me shaking, arms and legs. I was a bit worried that I was going to be too sore to run much or fast. When I ran it hurt a bit to breathe (abs, obliques and lats so sore) but my legs held up well. Got it in!
@Timby1 - look at you go! Yay!
@italysharon - Very cute list! I would add one - don't throw your used gel packets on the ground (in a race maybe but not on a training run)
@4leighbee - damn right you can look all you want!

I'm a newbie and just finished the C25k program the first week in March. Gonna try to log 35 running miles in April. The term 'running' is questionable for me ... more like 'jogging' ... but I'll keep trying to get faster.

3.79 today. Running seems to be getting harder instead of easier. I'm still in denial that its my back. Maybe I'm not pushing hard enough.
Everyone has cramps and aches right?
Take care of yourself and don't over do it if it is going to make your back worse!

A lot of pain on my lower right leg today, where the tendons run from the back of the ankle up to the calf. Had to walk/trot the last few km's so was quite surprised to hit exactly 60mins for 10km.
Watch that pain, that is how my daughter started with Achilles's tendon problems. Hope it feels better.

4/10 3 miles
I haven't ran in almost a week and that felt tough for my legs this morning. I skipped my Monday run because I was worried I wouldn't have time to shower before heading to the airport. We went to NYC for a couple days so I ended up missing my Wednesday run also. I probably should have foam rolled when we got back after all the walking and sitting on planes that we did. Hopefully a 4-miler will feel better tomorrow.

Glad it's feeling better!!!
@dennie24 how was NYC, business or pleasure?
@jtarmom isn't it easier to get out the door when you don't need to put 100 layers on?
@shortmrsN you go with your bad self!!!
@4leighbee asking a sweaty and "hot" male runner to remove his shirt is a public service. I'm sure he was just waiting for approval to do so from you. There's nothing wrong with looking at the menu as long as you don't order anything.
@italysharon love your list!
- Worry if your first mile feels like crap. Any runner knows that the first mile or two of a run can feel horrible as you work out the kinks. Never take those initial miles too seriously. Know you will settle into a groove.
This ^^^ is so me. Some of the others had me laughing out loud at my desk.

April 10 - 5.03 It was so HOT outside. Although the temp claims to be 71 - that should be perfect I would think! The humidity was 89% and the sun was blasting. Back to the early morning runs next week.
@italysharon & @skippygirlsmom -- love the list too! This morning when I ran the first mile was awful. It was so hot and I was in the sun and it felt awful. And then I thought about that "don't worry about the first couple miles" and pushed on. I had set out to run 4 this morning because I have strength training this afternoon. But then after the first awful mile and a half, I was in a groove, and miles 3 and 4 were awesome! So I went one more.
Hope everyone has some great runs this weekend! @skippygirlsmom - Good luck on HM! It's Sunday, I think...?

@Timby1 My neighborhood is the same with the hills. It is torture. But when I go and run somewhere flat it feels like I can go forever now!
@skippygirlsmom good luck on the 1/2! I need to find one here. I'm just too cheap to sign up for these $100 races!0 -

Really? *disheartened sigh* I wanna be (at least) normal! Lol!
My legs cramp-ache often, hamstrings and calves mostly. Never feels like my quads or glutes engage. I suppose it might be my back. But I'm just sure I'm being a pus about it all, playing the victim. Will run again today to investigate it further.

I am so happy to have switched my Chiropractic/Massage Therapy to a new Provider last week. I am now experiencing a much lower pain level, and I'm recovering rapidly when I push myself. I really think I'm going to make my goal this month - my wonky spine can bite me!!!0 -
@Elise4270 I never got cramps from running. But put me in a swimming pool and tell me to swim a few lanes freestyle, and before 20 minutes are over, I get a crap in the foot/toes. Since I never got the hang of breathing properly while swimming, I'm usually glad for an excuse to stop, but it's still anoying...
