Any vegetarians out there?

I'm staying in my calorie numbers fine, but my carbs are always way off the scale. I would love to hear ideas for proteins that aren't super fatty, like almonds. I do love almonds of course...

I meet my protein needs with soy milk, beans, protein powder, seitan, grains, tofu, and some nuts.0

I drink soy milk and I have spinach/kale, cucumber, parsley in all my smoothies. Luckily I love eating raw broccoli and cauliflower too0

I would recommend supplementing your diet with protein shakes, plenty of vegetarian options out there. Curious as to why you want to limit your carbs though?
Will leave a couple of useful links for you...

ETA: There are also plenty of mock meat options available for vegetarians. Just do a web search.0 -
pb2 in smoothies or on toast, little bit of reg peanut butter, lots of mushrooms, broccoli/cauliflower, soymilks, tofu/tempeh, pinto/black/kidney beans, peas!, kettle corn/light popcorn for snacking, whole or multigrain breads(there are some 40-50 cal slices out there i like), oats. there's a lot of options and it all adds up at the end of the day.0

Thanks you guys for the input and support. I have been vegetarian all my life, and have been blessed with a quick metabolism so I didn't have to worry about food. My metabolism is slowing down now, and I find myself second guessing what I know about nutrition.Cryptonomnomicon wrote: »Curious as to why you want to limit your carbs though?
I guess I don't need to limit my carbs as long add I'm not hungry, but these days I'm hungry all the time. I eat whole, nonGMO, OG foods for the most part, mostly dairy, nuts, veggies, and fruits. I don't do soy, and haven't found a protein powder that doesn't make me feel like I'm eating junk food.0 -
Lift some weights. Metabolic slow down isn't inevitable, if you keep your muscle mass.0

It's inevitable when you pass 400
