    @Timby1 My neighborhood is the same with the hills. It is torture. But when I go and run somewhere flat it feels like I can go forever now!

    @skippygirlsmom good luck on the 1/2! I need to find one here. I'm just too cheap to sign up for these $100 races!

    3.79 today. Running seems to be getting harder instead of easier. I'm still in denial that its my back. Maybe I'm not pushing hard enough.

    Everyone has cramps and aches right?
    Umm...no - aches once in a while cramps not so much

    Really? *disheartened sigh* I wanna be (at least) normal! Lol!

    My legs cramp-ache often, hamstrings and calves mostly. Never feels like my quads or glutes engage. I suppose it might be my back. But I'm just sure I'm being a pus about it all, playing the victim. Will run again today to investigate it further.

    @4leighbee LOL Lego people
    @elise4270 My hamstring will get tight from time to time and I know after Sunday by quads will be screaming at me for a few days. I agree with shanaber I'll get aches but never cramps.
    @italysharon thank you!

    I am so happy to have switched my Chiropractic/Massage Therapy to a new Provider last week. I am now experiencing a much lower pain level, and I'm recovering rapidly when I push myself. I really think I'm going to make my goal this month - my wonky spine can bite me!!!

    @Elise4270 I never got cramps from running. But put me in a swimming pool and tell me to swim a few lanes freestyle, and before 20 minutes are over, I get a crap in the foot/toes. Since I never got the hang of breathing properly while swimming, I'm usually glad for an excuse to stop, but it's still anoying...

    Beautiful morning! 55 & breezy. Felt so good to wear a t-shirt and shorts instead of 4 shirts, tights, gloves, hat.....
    Same here! I still wore long pants, but just a shirt. No jacket, gloves, hat, ... As far as I'm concerned, the weather could stay like this for a while :)

    @Timby1 - Hills? I need hills, have none around me and really need to do some hill work since I seem to be running halfs that always have terrible hills in them! I am driving to a park tomorrow morning specifically to run hills! Great job on almost 8 miles today!
    @ddmom0811 - don't you just love hitting that groove! It is such a great feeling!
    @Elise4270 - I don't get cramps when I run but I do get cramps in my calves and hamstrings and even my feet occasionally when I am doing other exercises, stretches and sometimes at night. My daughter recommended a magnesium oxide supplement and it seems to have helped. Also I work on engaging my glutes when I am running which basically just means squeezing my butt when I push off with my foot. There are some good articles in Runners World with strengthening exercises:
    http://www.runnersworld.com/workouts/glute-strength
    http://www.runnersworld.com/injury-prevention-recovery/the-whole-body-fix
    @Wendy1Fl - So glad you found someone who could help you get some relief with your back!

    Date.......Miles......Total
    04/01.....4.07.......4.07 - +2 mile walk
    04/02.....5.20.......9.27 - + Strength Training
    04/03.....6.48.....15.75
    04/04...13.10.....28.85
    04/05.....0.00.....28.85 - Rest - 3 mile walk on the beach
    04/06.....7.20.....36.05 - + Agility
    04/07.....6.24.....42.29 - + Strength Training
    04/08.....0.00.....42.29 - Rest + Strength Training
    04/09.....4.37.....46.66 - Surprisingly good tempo run
    04/10.....6.20.....52.86

    First 5 miles was under 10.5 min pace, last mile was more or less walking because I had to join a conference call for a meeting I was late to :blush:
