Exercise Calories.

I'm having trouble filling up those extra calories I get from exercising. I wouldn't really see it as much of a problem except for the fact that I always get hungry in my last hour of work and a couple hours before bed, and an apple just isn't enough to quell that. Any suggestions for quick, healthy, vegetarian-friendly snacks that could help me fill those calories and satisfy my hunger?

    Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?
  • Hey, I am also new to this and nly joined a couple of days ago. Do you have to use up the extra calories you get from exercising? I did my first lot of exercise yesterday burning 288 cals but just ate the normal 1230 cal daily allowance that I have been given. When I completed my diet plan yesterday it said I was under calories because I had not eaten the 288. Can you not just leave these and lose more or do you have to use them all?

As for veggie snax I think other then fruit or oatmeal bars you are fairly limited for these unfortunately. Good luck with your weight loss. My first weigh in is Friday . . . Gulp!!!

    lisabel87,
I don't eat back my workout calories, and I still have the energy to make it through the day even working out twice. If you are looking to loose weight, don't eat them. If you want to maintain, maybe eat some of them and see how you feel and how your measurements go. It's easy to adjust, so just listen to your body.

My daily calorie goal is around 2300, and I burn at least 1000 now that I added weight training to my Insanity. I normally eat around 2200-2400 per day, and am losing an average of 2lbs per week. Cool thing about not planning on eating those calories is if you end up eating more than you thought, like at a restaurant, you are still good :)

Ooo, celery with peanut butter. It's been awhile since I had that, and I did just buy me some really good peanut butter. Thanks for reminding me!

I commented on not eating your workout calories, but all of a sudden I'm worried about wether or not I should start. I recently hit phase 2 of Insanity, plus lift weights and run with my fiance when our schedules permit. I'm averaging 1200 calories burnt from exercise a day now.

My starting goal was a 500 calorie deficit just to lose a little fat, so now I'm technically 1700 calories deficit by the end of the day. Can you guys help me out with this?
