So today my dad talked me into using my sons Trikke on our walk instead of me just walking and OMG its great! I got such a great workout and had so much fun doing it! I even did another ride after dinner i liked it so much. They have a website www.trikke.com and even give you an estimate of how many cals you can burn for a 30 min ride. Just thought i would see if anybody was using one?

I've had a Trikke 78cs (put air tires on it) for about 3 weeks now and I LOVE it. I was a little leery at first because I kept reading about how hard it was to learn to ride, but I managed to get it going right off the bat and was really riding it after 30 minutes or so. Now I'm up to about 5 miles at a time.

I bought a Garmin Forerunner 305 to help track my distance, heart rate, and calories burned while I'm riding... I haven't had this much fun working out this hard since I was a kid.

I hadn't seen anything on the Trikke site about caloric burns...I'll have to go check that out. There's a Trikke forum at trikketalk.com...lots of other Trikke enthusiasts there.

But man, it is one awesome way to get some cardio work in every day!

Do you get stopped a lot by curious people? I haven't made it through a since ride without being stopped at least once. I don't mind since it's a chance to grab some water, but people will actually chase me to ask questions about it.

I'm thinking Trikke owes me a royalty or something...I know of at least 6 Trikkes for sure they've sold because of me.

A week after I got mine, the Spouse Thingy got one. Apparently I was having far too much fun and he realized it was a better workout than his inline skates.

I just bought a Trikke about 5 weeks ago and I love it. I do find my knees bother me if I do it too many days in a row (same with skiing), so I alternate between Trikking and other activities.

I used a heart-rate monitor and it really showed what a cardio workout it is as well.

I wish I could Trikke every day!

Nice to see so many other MFP people riding Trikke's. :) Saw some workouts in the directory today after my first ride of the season. Ordered mine at the end of last season, and just ordered two air tires for the back, looking forward to riding. It's such a fun work out!
