Hey guys, quick question. I'm sorry if this has been addressed somewhere else but I legitimately couldn't find it anywhere on the boards. I just recently purchased an iPhone 6 and downloaded the MFP app on it. My question is, where it adds calories based on how many steps you take, is this not already accounted for in the MFP estimate for daily activity? MFP has estimated my BMR at around 2100, and that I burn around 500 or 600 calories per day doing "daily activities". Do they not already include some kind of estimate for walking in there?

I'm not sure but you could try and change your activity level to sedentary and check your total calories then change back to your actual activity level and see how much/if it changes

I agree. Set your level to sedentary and let the step counter account for the rest. It works for me.
