If I start an exercise through the app on my phone (running) should I also log press the FitBit to put it in exercise mode?

Bump. I have a Charge HR.
Yes, i input time of exercise to MFP, but I found that it was inputting the calorie burn from runkeeper/mfp to the fit bit, when I thought it should use whatever cals fitbit said I burned during that time frame. For example, I log all my runs on runkeeper, which then uploads it to mfp (currently I disabled this auto upload), whatever cals rk said I burned was the same cals mfp said I burned, and then fit bit would say I burned that same amount. It doesn't make sense because fit bit should tell mfp what cals I burned during that time frame and mfp should use the fitbit value for the calories burned amount.
In my mind, because the fitbit is the only thing monitoring my heart rate and level of exertion, nothing should be over writing it.
Any one notice this?0
