Cant you put a larger goal in besides 2 lbs a week? I like to go 4 lbs a week?

  • Most likely not because they say anything over two pounds is not healthy weight loss.

    It's not a great idea, but really it depends on how much body fat you have. The higher your body fat, the more you can lose per week in a safe way. But the extremely obese who lose weight quickly are under the watch of a dietician and physician, so if you're not, it's wiser to aim for a normal 1-2 lbs per week. If more comes off for a couple weeks, that's okay, but it's healthier and easier in the long run to do it slowly so that you don't plateau quickly and run out of options to keep your fat loss moving.
