I've been counting my calories for about a month now and I am totally on track, so yay! but I just wish it was more exciting...I feel like it's so much work for so little result :( I know that 1/2 pound to 1 pound a week WILL add up to me reaching my goal, but when I look at my progress and see that I've gone from 167 to 164 after a month of hard work...it's difficult not to get discouraged. It seems like such a small amount :( Does anybody else feel this way? I just want to be excited that I'm actually losing weight this time! It's working! Ugh.

Yes :) I've lost 7lbs since the beginning of March, which I know is a great amount but it seems to be going sooo slowly!

I just keep reminding myself that it doesn't matter how long it takes, as long as it keeps going down. I could eat less and lose quicker but I'd rather do it this way and eat more while losing :)

Edit: I have around 60lbs to go to my GW!

Hey, it's better to see the scale numbers declining rather than rising. :) I've been losing at a snail's pace since Christmas, this after months of consistent losses of at least 1.5 pounds per week. When I get discouraged I look at the chart showing where I began and where I am today. As long as I'm not gaining, any measly little loss is something I'll celebrate, lol. I remind myself this IS a lifestyle change and this IS how I'm going to be eating for the rest of my life. So, slow and steady it is.

How long did it take you to put on the weight? If it was easy then it wouldnt be such a big issue and challenge for people. Work harder if you wnat to try and speed it up, but as you have less to lose then your body will resist. Before I was being excited and congratulating myself id be focused on making sure I was going to stick with it and making sure I passed the finish line. Stick with it and keep doing the right things. Be patient.

I am trying to focus on how good I am feeling and the changing fit in my clothing, rather than the numbers. I've been flying high since Easter when I whipped out some clothing that I hadn't worn since last summer and they were loose! Even if that scale isn't moving, something is changing!
    Don't get discouraged!

I have been stalled for months now. I am just now starting to see the scale move downward, but it seems it has taken a month just to lose and keep off a couple pounds. It's depressing because I still have so far to go, but then I remember where I started, over 30 lbs more than I weigh today, and that keeps my spirits up. I'm nearly halfway there.

    You can do eeeiiitt!!

I am down 60 pounds and it has taken about 11 months. I made the choice to go slowly on purpose. It is less "diety" feeling going slowly. I am more mentally focused on "healthy long term lifestyle" at this speed.

It does add up over time!

I'm also hoping that going slowly will allow my skin to keep shrinking and not end up with a bunch of loose skin. (So far so good.)

I have about 45 more pounds to go.

    I feel your feels.

I lost two pounds in two months but I keep telling myself that it's better than gaining two pounds in two months or staying the same weight!

Add me if you need someone to vent to about the slow process. It helps to have people on here to talk to and share successes with
