I don't understand myfitnesspal. It doesn't let you put your steps from a pedometer. Anyone know how to make this work?

Unless you have one that syncs with MFP, I don't think you can. Does your pedometer give you a calories burned estimate? If so, I may be able to help you with logging the extra calories from that.

This is exactly why i bought a fitbit, so it could sync with mfp.

Are you still walking around your house even after midnight?

LOL not after midnight. The latest I've been out is probably 10pm. But yes, still doing the house laps! :#
But apparently, going by " logging my 45 minute walk" thread. it all been pretty much for nothing

Good question - I had been wondering that......
I have taken the view I will only put my pedo on when I am doing some dog walking and then log it as a walk depending on the count it gives me.......
I haven't been using it lately due to a sprain in leg and and hand,,,,but hopefully by next week I will pull some extra walks in.....

I think I did same as christinev at one point - walking around the house to get my 10k steps in! I even did laps in a hotel room.......

I've had a chat to my neighbours (we live in a little culdesac) explaining what I'm doing. Just in case they thought I'd gone Loony and was pacing round and round my house for no good reason

Be very careful entering steps as miles walked, or adding as exercise. Sedentary activity level already accounts for about 5,000 steps.

Make sure your logging isn't double counting.

I use an app that syncs with mfp. Also u can look up turning steps into calories burned and it will have a converter.
