Okay, so I'm really wanting to try something new in my workout. I mean, I'm working out usually anywhere from 5-7 days a week and for at least an hour, but as much as I'm loving the gym I would love to add something different in there.
Anyway I'm really wanting to get a new plan, something preferably that is a monthly (whether it's 60 days, 90 days, whatever), but the thing is I really don't know which one to do with all those out there now. I mean, there's P90x, Power 90, Insanity, Extreme, etc., etc, it seems like the list is never ending.
To get to my point quick, what all has everyone else tried and what is really worth my time and money. I'm wanting a new challenge (I'm getting to the point were all my other dvds are far too easy or just plain boring).
If everyone could just give me their opinions, it would be very much appreciated.
Good luck on your journey and thank you:D

My friend uses P90X and loves it! Have you thought about moving away from DVDs? I got to the point of too easy/ boredom with the DVDs I had too. I am a bit cheap though (money is an issue in our house) and did not want to spend all of the money it took for programs like P90X (I also was afraid I'd get bored with it too).
I personally like the organized classes at the gym; I switch it up to keep it interesting. I also like to run (can't believe I just said THAT). If you're not a runner, try "Couch to 5K", a podcast that leads you through literally being a couch potato to running a 5K in 9 weeks. NIKE also has a free app for your smart phone: "Nike Training" that allows you to put together different workouts; the more you complete, the more different workouts you "unlock". A fun way to add variety to your workout.
Hope that helps a little! Good luck; please share what you find you like!0 -
I keep being tempted to try out P90x, but I think I want to hold off just a little bit more.
I'm running everyday, and actually have been doing Couch to 5K for a while, thanks to my sister. And somehow, don't know how I can say this, I consider myself a pretty good runner.
I go to the gym everyday, where twice or three times a week I meet with my trainer whom switches things up quite a bit, and go to different workout classes my work holds as well. Lol, I also have Nike Training, it is pretty good, def. at home.
Just looking for something a little different to do around the house for those days that I don't want to run outside, and hopefully something I could do everyday without getting bored.
Thanks for the advice and because of you, I think I'll give my Nike Training app some more attention.0 -
INSANITY is awesome, love it, also tried p90x but i like insanity so much better, my brother is doing it now and he's never had a weight problem or anything, just likes to be fit, and said hes the lightest he's been in a long time0

Where can you get Insanity exactly? One of my friends through work has been going on about someone in her family doing it and says it's amazing.
I'm just curious where I could read more about it, because other than the name I don't know much about it at all.
If you know where that would be awesome:D0 -

there's so much out there because not everybody like the same things. if you like weights and dont want to spend FOREVER doing a dvd, i recently started chalean extreme and i love it. its a great workout that you feel as you're doing it and the next morning when you wake up. ouch. but in a good way. beachbody.com is a great place to start looking. they have something for everybody.0

Thanks, all of you:D
I'll def. have to check out beachbody.com and I'm also def. going to do some more reading/research on Insanity, P90x, and Chalean (which one of my friends says is amazing!)
Hopefully I'll find some nice things on beachbody though:D0
