I have started eating healthy, and I plan on doing fitnessblender's 5 day fat loss workout all to get flat stomach and abs. Problem is once a month I go out drinking with my crew. It's this Friday. Will heavy drinking (shots) affect my goal of getting flat stomach and abs, or should I start next Monday as I was planning on starting today. So far I've had 330ml of diet coke, an apple and banana. I am also unsure of what I can get with on a healthy lifestyle. I like my savoury food, how would I fit things like pizza, crisps and chocolate in? Would it fit into macro's as predominantly I want to eat far more healthy things that would still satisfy myself and give me the satisfaction of savoury food. Not too keen on nuts but will do if I have to.

Drinking will definitely have an effect on weight loss, the problem with alcohol is its empty calories. I feel your pain I can easily put away a couple thousand calories in a night out drinking, it's been something I've really had to work on cutting out from my lifestyle. Now when I go out I may only do 3-4 shots but work them into my calorie goal. Being said, i used to drink with friends a few nights a week and now it's maybe every couple months or so. I'm usually the sober one now. As for macros and savory foods, it's about moderation really. Portion sizes and how often you have the unhealthy foods can make all the difference.0

First of all, don't waste your money on fad diets like the fitnessblunder you mentioned. It may be a quick fix, but quick fixes don't work. You might find some results, at the expense of health, but they will be short lived at best. The only thing that will be permanently thinner is your wallet.
Second, do this:

It's not a diet. It's a workout channel on youtube.0 -

In that case, ignore the first part and do the second part.
Just remember, exercise =/= weight loss. Exercise = fitness. Watching what you eat = weight loss.0 -

Sorry, I know I haven't asked a proper question.
Basically it is a few. ''Should I fit unhealthy items in my macros, and how do I do this?''
''What types of savoury foods can I have on a healthy lifestyle?''
''Will drinking once a month affect getting the body of my dreams if I am still having a healthy lifestyle the rest of the time?''
''Should I just start it next monday after probably ruining the healthy lifestyle this week with drinking?''
I also still have easter eggs left to eat, a cocacola life drink left to drink, and this asian snack to eat, what shall I do about this eat them and fit them into my calories and just start it all next Monday?
Sorry guys. I just can't seem to find a thread with all these questions in.0 -
''Should I fit unhealthy items in my macros, and how do I do this?"
There's physical health and then there's psychological health. It may be psychologically healthy to have some drinks. Therefore, do it, but make sure it fits into your caloric goal for the month/week. Alcohol is 7 calories per gram.
''What types of savoury foods can I have on a healthy lifestyle?''
Anything you want. Just make sure it fits into your macros.
''Will drinking once a month affect getting the body of my dreams if I am still having a healthy lifestyle the rest of the time?''
No.
''Should I just start it next monday after probably ruining the healthy lifestyle this week with drinking?''
You're not ruining anything. Don't feel bad about one night a month. It will not ruin your life. Just hop back onto the wagon the day after and you'll be fine.

Just fit them into your calories/macros and you'll be fine. Unless you're eating arsenic, there's nothing wrong with enjoying your food.

No, drinking once a month is fine, just don't eat a *kitten* ton of greasy drunk food, remember that one day can set you back pretty far. If you're mindful, you can have a fun day and not put yourself in a giant hole. *kitten*, I go out for pizza and beer once a week and still stay under my caloric limit.
Working out isn't going to give you a flat stomach, losing body fat will. Keep eating at a defecit.
It honestly sounds like you're fishing for an excuse to not work out today. Seriously, just do your workout. It's like, 30 minutes? Why not???

Thank you very much! I will make a note of all these things and start today.

Then try not to go overboard and eat a bit less during the week before the night out. I wouldn't fret over it though. Enjoy your life!0 -
Go out, have fun, LOG it and move on.0

I like my cocktails too! I had a pretty big night on Friday since we were out of town visiting friends. I ate super healthy for the entire day... Nuts, veggies, fruit, protein--then made sure I logged everything and every drink. Then the next day was another light one. It balanced out and I moved on. If I had waited to restart today, I wouldn't have made good choices on Saturday and Sunday and probably wouldn't have seen a loss on the scale today. I'm so glad I did it this way, because I REALLY wanted to see a loss!0
