I love veggies and other healthy foods and would like to start eating a more vegetarian type diet. I'd like to know how you get your protein and B12.

    - Egg beaters
    - Tofu
    - Beans
    - Soy burgers
    - Peanut butter

I track my protein and eat beans, tofu, and sometimes "fake" meats such as tofurky. I also add soy milk to coffee and cereal since it has the most protein of all the non-dairy milks. In a pinch, I'll add protein powder to yogurt or oatmeal or a smoothie if the day is running out and I haven't had enough protein. Also, to get B12 make sure you get a vegan daily vitamin - they usually sell them at Whole Foods or an organic market.

Beans: kidney, black, pinto, lima...all of them are good are great and delicious when prepared right :) I also have made myself like tofu (again just have to season/prepare correctly). If you have a Whold Foods by you try out tempeh or seitan as well ( meat substitutes...one is soy based and the other is wheat based). Organic Greek Yogurt with 0% fat. I also treat myself to fish or some other type of seafood once a week 4oz worth for the protein. If you really are hurting for protein though you may have to get those whey protein drink mixes to up your numbers. Hope this helps!
