I have been using the app for a while, and although I have been able to maintain the weight I am at, I haven't lost any of the 15lbs I am trying to lose. I think having a community/friends to be accountable too and share this experience would be helpful. I would love to hear people's thoughts on what do when you have had an over calorie day and how they overcome that and don't just hall completely off the wagon and also there has been much talk on here about how many people under report the food they're eating, what are the best ways to make sure your being as accurate in your reporting while not having to weigh and measure every portion.

Hey there, lulabell. I've found that making friends on MFP helps a lot. It really does.
If you have a day when you don't meet your calorie goals you try better tomorrow. Why did you overeat? What can help avoid that?
Here's the deal with measuring your food...9 times out of 10 when someone posts a forum topic, "Help, I'm not losing weight! What's Wrong?!?!" the problem is that they haven't been measuring their foods properly. I am serious about losing fat off my body. So I am serious about what I put into my body, and how much.
I mean, that's all there is to it!
Glad you're here!

I get that but is the best practice to weigh everything out?0 -
Yes...I think that being super careful with portions, at least in the beginning is very helpful. I bought a really inexpensive food scale...about $10.00. Works just great and I'm always surprised about how much more something weighs than I think it's going to. Add me as a friend if you want. I'm back on this site daily and would love to encourage you. MOVE and EAT RIGHT!!!! Cut back on nutritionless carbs and sweets, no matter what the calories....They are total poison for your body. Good luck!0
