Hola, My name is Bokohoyo (Boko for short), I am a sugar addict. I have tried countless times to lose weight. I was successful a few years ago and I managed to keep it off. I had 25 more pounds to go to my goal weight, but failed. After my mom past away I didn't care and I gained 20 pounds. My attempts to lose weight lately have been a failure and my sugar addiction has me out of control. I didn't think I needed support and really thought I could manage this by myself, but I was wrong. I need all the help I can get and I hope that if there are any other sugar addicts out there, you can give me tips. I am all ears. I have a plan to get myself started, something I didn't do before, so hopefully having a plan will help me get back on track. Today I start walking for lunch and then when I feel really motivated I will join a gym. Anyone else struggling, let us be support for one another. I know I can't do this alone. :)

I started to take off sugar from my diet just 6days back. Day 1 was horrible I must say. Headache, tired , cranky...
I did cheat on 2 times, but I have pulled myself back on track. Day 6 was perfect with no sugar at all.(I do have natural sugar ie fruits) now I'm starting to feel that its not an impossible task. Give a try.

Hyperpalatable yes. Addiction, probably not. With glycogen (a polysaccharide) being needed in the body for energy usage, it would be hard NOT to have sugar in the body.
