Hi everyone! I'm new to the community part of MFP. My question is- Is the MFP calculations on calorie intake the most accurate? I have googled calorie intake to calculate how many calories I should be eating per day for my height, weight, etc. there always seems to be different suggestions. Any help here? Thanks!

MFP differs from many calculators in that exercise is not included in the initial calculation. MFP gives you more calories when you log exercise. This is good for someone who doesn't exercise on a regular basis.
Also, make sure you are comparing apples to apples. MFP asks you for 1 pound a week, etc. That's 500 calories a day. Other calculators may ask you for a percentage.
Scooby's seems to get good recommendations here. But with any calculator, you may have to tweak it after using it awhile. We all try to log food accurately....but some of us are more accurate than others.0 -
Thank you! That gives me a little more understanding0
