I lost 14 lbs the first week, this week not a pound. I didn't change what I ate and I didn't cheat. Any ideas why?

You lost a lot of water weight the first week and were no doubt dehydrated, this week your body is taking time to rehydrate.0

Gender, Height, Weight
What's your current calorie intake
14lbs in first week will be a helluva lot of water and possibly a couple of lbs of fat .. that kind of drop will only happen in first couple of weeks
Weight loss isn't linear ... your body will catch up if you keep doing the right things You should be looking over time eg 6-8 weeks and watching the overall trend0 -
Huge decreases in calories combined with a low carb diet will show the most decrease in initial scale weight. Also if before you actually decided to go on a diet, you unconsciously started to eat a little less may have also impacted first week scale weight. Losing any appreciable fat and muscle mass takes longer than a week. Basically, it's water weight. Now the real weight loss starts.0

I weighed 285 at start. My calorie intake is around 1500 per day. almost no carbs.0

You're not eating enough. 1500 calories is the MINIMUM any male should eat and it's basically reserved for very small, short, lightweight and sedentary men. Anything lower than 2000 calories for someone with your stats is probably too low.
You can expect to lose an *average* of about 2lbs/week by creating an 1000-calorie deficit from your maintenance level. Any more than that is dangerous. And that's an average; some weeks will be less, some will be more, some might even show a slight gain. It balances out over time.
That first week was a statistical anomaly caused by, probably, a large drop in water weight if you sharply dropped your calories after eating a lot of salty foods beforehand. You can't expect to see numbers like that again. TV shows like the Biggest Loser aren't real, they're television shows perpetuating dangerous myths.

So 14 lbs in 2 weeks? Failing to see any problems. Patience. There will be weeks you lose less, not at all or gain.0

Thanks for the input, I tend to get discouraged easily.0
