I started being treated by a chiropractor for pinched nerves and other spinal issues today. I'm in a bit of pain because of the pinched nerves, and I'm afraid to work out because I don't want to hurt myself further. Tomorrow I am going to ask my chiro for advice, because I know I can't take 4+ weeks off exercising, but I feel like he's gonna tell me the only option is to go for walks or something like that. I really do not like going for walks. I like doing a quick, high impact workout to get my workout done quickly and efficiently. Ughhh :(

In sorry to hear about the pain you are in. I hope there is some alternative that will meet your needs.

Not sure where your pinched nerve is, but maybe a recumbent bike? Focus on keeping your spinal column still, but still get some cardio in?

*Sigh* Whatever your doc recommends, follow it. Four weeks is nothing in the span of your lifetime, and if four weeks of low impact is what it takes to heal, then so be it.

I work with post-partum clients, and part of my job is to remind them that it took 9 months for the baby weight to come on. It's going to be a little while for all of it to come off. While the need for good health and weight loss feels imminent, minor setbacks along the way are inevitable. You'll get past it and go!

It's tough to have a setback, especially when you're so motivated, but your good form and healed body will yield amazing results on the other side.

    Best of luck!

Oh I definitely will be following doctor's orders. I don't want to worsen my situation.

I'm about 19 months post partum now...no more excuses for me to use lol I've just been lazy for the last year or so. Work and taking care of little one was the only thing I was focused on.

yeah think of it this week 4 weeks of walking or other low impact is sure better than 6 weeks in traction.
