why do i weigh less in the day than in the evening

ive been doing the 5.2 diet and recently in the mornings i have started to weigh more than i do in the evenings, like this morning i weighed myself and i was 9.12 stone and yesterday evening i was 9.10 stone. whats going on? could it be that im awake quite a few times with a baby? or is the food ive eaten the day before?

Could be anything. You've gone to the toilet during the day and lost food there, you've sweated and lost water weight, things like that. And does your scale always give the same result? Mine will give me slightly different readings if I step on and off consecutively, so would almost definitely give a different reading later on in the day anyway.

Stop weighing yourself so often you'll just drive yourself crazy. Your body can vary 4-5 pounds a day.

You weigh more in the morning than the evening... You mean after you've eaten all day and filled up on food?

So if your scale changes every time you stand on it, why are you surprised when it gives a different reading at the end of the day?

Your body digests and removes the food in your stomach to use as energy while you are asleep. Also, your breathing slows down, and has a higher rate of removing co2 (which weighs more than oxygen). Another reason is that the water weight is probably removed as you weigh yourself after you pee in the morning.

Weight varies throughout the day - water, glycogen, food... I suggest you don't weigh yourself multiple times a day, even if you are a daily weigh-er.

Wow you're the opposite to most people. I always weigh at least 3kgs more in the evening than I do in the morning..

Glycogen stores... Glycogen is stored in your muscles with water. You use it as you are active throughout the day. I always weigh the least in the afternoon after my am and pm workouts. I use my morning weight to track.
