Hi, I just have a quick question, I am listed as mostly sedentary lifestyle, I only work a few times a week, if that. On the days I do work, I am on my feet and moving around, however I don't add this as excercise because it really doesn't get my heart going, however it is being more active than on my usual days. So my question is this, on days that I do work, can I eat a little extra calories? Maybe 200 extra or something? Thanks for any imput!

I would look through the exercise database and log an activity similar to what you are doing on those days you work. There is walking at various paces. I'm sure i've seen someone say there is standing, etc. There probably is some option that you could use.

I totally agree that you should check the activity database. There is a lot on there that I was surprised to see even cooking!! Definitely log your activity and eat the calories. Don't ever feel like you are depriving yourself or it could sabotage your efforts to lose weight.

I agree 100%. You can get a better calculation of how many extra calories you need. It can build up quicker than you think. I logged in a day of fishing and it was crazy how many calories it said I had burned.

thanks, so you all really think that even though my heart isn't going, I should still log the activity and be able to eat them back since it isn't what my day 'usually' consists of?

What if you change your lifestyle on those days? See how many more calories MFP actually gives you for that type of work.
