My two months of progress and what I've learned: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10025184/60-days-and-27lbs-in-advice-for-newbies#latest

I'm now 55lbs down, and feeling great six months from starting. I'm not near my goal yet. Although, I'm almost halfway!! I just wanted to post this in hopes that someone would read it and decide to start or keep going on the hard days. I've been there!! But the struggles are worth every pound lost. I'm always looking for new friends! So, feel free to add me!

SW: 290 (September 20, 2014)
CW: 235 (April 6th, 2015)
GW: 150 (what it says on my driver's license)

Congrats! And I absolutely love that you put your driver's license weight. I have been putting my goal weight on my driver's license for as long as I can remember!

Aww, thanks guys so much!! Honestly, the old fashioned way. Adding more fruits and veggies, decreasing processed foods, thinking of meat as a "side" more than a main, drinking LOTS of water, finding a cardio option I was obsessed with. And most importantly, letting myself do this!! Trying to keep my anxiety and expectations to a minimum, and just DO IT.

Awesome. The changes are noticeable! I know how hard it is to see changes when you look at yourself or your own pictures, but trust me you can really see it. Keep working hard!
