Hello, has anyone got any tips for cutting out sugar??
I previously lost 12 stone and had no problem cutting out bad foods. However over the last year I don't know what's happened!! I can't stop eating sugar, fat & carbs. my self control has done one and in it's place I have a rather unattractive 2 stone weight gain.
Tips please

Good job on your lost - thats massive! Sugar is very addictive - it is so tough!! I recommend you stay hydrated ... drink lots of water with freshly squeezed lemon juice, change your routine .... we`re creatures of habit i.e. - sit infront of tv in the evening & out comes all sweets, candy, crisps etc.... so dont sit infront of the telly - busy yourself in other ways. Lack of sleep will create sugar and carb cravings ... need to get 7 hours or more per night. Increase your exercise routine - its a great appetite surpressant. Get the crappy food out of your kitchen, or don`t visit food establishment that will make you cave to your cravings. Lastly set yourself weekly goals ... 5 exercise session this week, drink 8 glasses of water, to be in bed by 11pm etc .. basic stuff - but all together it will make a big difference. I am a big component of eating fresh fruit and salad (not drenched in dressing) keeping the nutrient content high and mother nature provides you will lots of sweetness. Don`t worry though - I love a good bag of mini eggs or a snickers bar .... but its all about moderation! Friend me if you want.0

Nice job mate!
You can have natural ingredients (raw or dried) in your food that has natural sugar. Might help.
Some examples are;
-Goji berries
-Mulberries
-Blueberries
-Rasberries
-...
Note: Be careful some of the dried versions might have added sugar. Mostly goji and mulberries are sugar free. Also honey is good but don't overdo it I would say.
Also, sometimes losing self control means that your body is lacking some things so much that it starts craving things that it knows that they contain what they need. If this is energy it will crave deserts since it knows that they are high on energy.
Hope it helps a little bit.0 -

Don't think you need to cut out "bad" foods (there's no such thing), eat them in moderation and don't feel the need to binge on them. Fill most of your intake with nutrient dense choices, then if you have room or want them, eat less-nutritious foods.
You say you can't stop eating fat and carbs.... What are you planning on living on? Protein?0 -
By far & carbs I mean all the starchy badness like cakes, biscuits & chocolate bars lol0

I watched a programme lately - we supposedly entitled to the equivalent of 6 tsps sugar per day BUT that does not include fruit sugar......
Sugar can crop up in the most unexpected of places - mostly sauces and ready meals. So make from scratch and don't fuss about natural sugar - that was the advice, in a nutshell.0 -
Oh,and fats not the enemy.....nor carbs,,,,,
I get the impression your body lacking in something that it crying out for.
My main thought is - give yourself avocados! And berries. And eggs ( if not vegan)0
