    I always recommend going to a running store and having them assess your running form and recommend shoe types and brands. Before I did that, I thought I needed more padding (being a heavier runner), but turns out I need stability. Also, the fit is quite important.

    Argh aweful! I am very prone to blisters but my running shoes have never caused them. Have yourself properly fitted then get good socks.

    A moleskin will help you now. I always keep moleskins ready when breaking in any shoe. Don't let this discourage your running.
