BE ENCOURAGED!!

So, today I weighed in and got a little discouraged. I'm like, WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME? Why am I SO FAT... still!! It feels like I've been doing this exercise thing FOREVER!! But then I sat down and EVALUATED the situation... seriously, I started this journery on 2/28/11 that's 11 and 1/2 weeks ago. That means I've lost 24 lbs in 11 weeks!! That's an average of 2.2 lbs per week and that was without sticking to a concrete schedule or putting my best foot forward every day. That's just a few habit changes here and there and working my butt off when I get a chance in the midst of my chaotic schedule. I say all of this to say:
BE ENCOURAGED!! You're probably doing a lot better than you think you are!! 2.2 lbs/week? Yes, I lost more some weeks than I have lost other weeks... I've even gained some back and had to fight my way back down through some... but at the end of the day, I've survived!! I'm stronger, I'm wiser... and honeslty, I'M SEXY!! (okay, sorry... I'm feeling myself a bit today).
I weigh in again on Saturday and heck, who knows what the scale will say. And honestly, it doesn't matter! Time to focus on making healthier habits and stop staring at the scale every day! The big number will always get you!! If you make the necessary changes, the weight will come off.
Eating healthier/exercising should be your goal (i.e. a healthier lifestyle)... weight loss is the secondary award! When you make weight loss the goal, you can sometimes get too caught up and start looking towards dangerous means to obtain it. Let the weight worry abt itself... you do your part and be a good steward of the body God gave you. The rest will fall in order.
Okay, sorry if this was length... I'll get off my soap box!!
Final Thought: BE ENCOURAGED!!

So true! You are doing awesome! We have to shake this idea that the weight its supposed to come off overnight, We didnt gain it in a few weeks and we are not going to lose it in a few weeks. Patience!0

NOTHING WRONG WITH A LITTLE PAT ON THE BACK ONCE IN A WHILE! This is not easy and the fact that you have been doing it for 11.5 weeks I think deserves more then a pat on the back! Your doing awesome keep up the great work!!!0
