This weekend my hubby and I had a chance to go to key largo for the weekend. I weight more than I have in four years. I hate pictures because I see what I have allowed myself to become. So initially I thought if I was thinner, more in shape. . . And I realized that I have things on hold that I am waiting to do until I loose weight and get fit. So I decided to be gentle with myself and go and take pictures. Yes I see the fat but I also see how happy my husband and I are. Instead of an accusation I am choosing to see the pics as motivation.

That's a great attitude! I'm glad you had fun.

As for pictures, it's important to document your life. Besides, you can always use them for "before" when you get to "after". ;)

I didn't take before pictures when I started... and now that Im about halfway to goal and finally felt brave enough to take a photo, I really *really* wish I had something to compare it to.

Kudos for taking pics...it'll be motivation for sure as you go through your journey! And if I knew then what I knew now..I would have been super eager for that "one last look" at what I used to be.

I took before pics and dang, it was painful to do. I am so glad that I did though because when I finally get that awesome after pic, it will show how hard I worked for it. I've been down this road before and used to document everything on beachbody.com. My before and after were in my gallery and they were a great motivator. When I'm brave enough, I might post them here......maybe. LOL. They're pretty darn dreadful!!

I'm gad that you took them. You will see how important it is to do that once you make it to your goal. I'm also glad that you're happy. That's very important too! Good for you!
