Rashes on my ankles?

Bit of an odd one. I've been doing a 5k training plan and I've noticed that I'm getting flare ups of eczema post-run - but only on my ankles. They're getting quite sore and itchy and I have no idea what's causing it.

I wear trainer socks, and the rash is just above the line of my sock. My trainers aren't rubbing there, and when I run I wear three-quarter length bottoms.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

If you are training outside, maybe its a contact dermatitis from vegetation, or insect bite(s) that cause a eczemic looking rash (ants do that to me).

Are you running on a road/track or through a field? If the latter, perhaps you are making contact with tall grass or other vegetation that is irritating your skin.

Is it eczema? If so they sell a really good eczema lotion that I would recommend. I use it daily and I have seen a great reduction in my eczema which also tends to flare up post-workout.

I run on the pavement, but I live in an area where I run past a lot of fields so maybe it is pollen related. It looks like eczema, but just not super dry

    Go to your Dr.

Last time I had a rash on my ankle (just the left one), it turned out to be DVT. Not saying that's your situation, but it doesn't hurt to have a Dr look at it.

Best case scenario, the Dr prescribes a cream for you which clears it up/
