Question about recording steps

This is regarding the Active level: I feel like setting the Active level helps account for daily steps you would be taking. But I now have a Fitbit and am tracking actual steps. Does this mean I should turn down my active level to sedentary?

I have mine set to lightly active which means on average 10k steps a day without exercise.

Which is what I typically get. So my suggestion is no don't. If you are lightly active without exercise leave it as is.....if you are sedentary than yes change it.

It doesn't depend on an activity tracker.

Here's a link to the FitBit users group.

FitBit will adjust up (or down) when comparing your MFP settings to FitBit actual. Provided you allow negative adjustments. Because calorie adjustments are based upon when you are syncing.....pick whatever is closest to your activity level. That way adjustments will be less.

agreed keeping in mind I do have an activity tracker....but prefer less adjustments per above.
