I vote yay, they cover more than most bikini tops, but some feel they should be worn under a shirt.

Context needed. You shouldn't wear bikini tops everywhere either.0 -
At the gym, sure. Otherwise, no. There are more feminine options that would look way more attractive. Sportswear is for sports.

appropriate to run in or no? Sometimes I wear it alone, sometimes I wear a jersey mesh tank top over it. If I am doing inverted situps the tank top gets in the way and falls in my face anyhow.

you see that all the time in college towns...(god I miss college)...I say yay.0
-
Well, yeah I would definitely choose to wear a sports bra over a bikini top when exercising. I personally choose to wear a shirt over the sports bra, too.0
-
You wear what you are comfortable in -- it's fine to run or workout in just a sports bra especially over the next months as it gets hotter.0
-
Yes, appropriate to run in, or workout in, or play sports in. Also appropriate for being home alone in.
However, I wouldn't look twice at a girl like that in the street, but that's my taste. My opinion is that women should be women, look feminine, and, sport/workout aside, I think there are far better options for dressing to look like the stunning creature you are.

I wear my sports bras to the gym or to lounge around in, but I don't wear them as actual tops (unless im coming back from the gym and it's hot, in which case sure)0
-
I wouldn't, even at goal weight. Never felt it was appropriate to be out and about in my underwear. Never wore bikinis either.0

It does get quite hot here in Dallas, summer days can easily be 95-100 degrees. Spring is a bit more agreeable to outdoor workouts, lately the humidity has been killer though, I've broke out in a sweat even in 60-65 degree temps.0

wear whatever you want whenever you want0

Wear what's comfortable and appropriate for you, and forget about running up against some random busybody's sensitivities. Chances are very, very good that you'll never see the person or people you may offend again, so why does their opinion matter? As long you aren't physically harming anyone, just live your life.

I say that if guys can run around and exercise with their shirts off, it's fine to workout in public places in a sports bra!
Personally, I wouldn't with my spare tire, but if I were at goal weight, I totally would. 100 deg and 100% humidity here in the summer!0 -
Not appropriate even for gym.
Please wear a tank over top.0 -

Wear whatever makes you happy. Many women in the gym I go to dress like the picture above. I don't really think anything of it. It's the booty in the tiny shorts doing squats that completely makes me lose which set I'm on....0

Absolutely fine for working out and other people need to pay more attention to their own workouts rather than your clothing unless you are flashing something. Sometimes its just too hot to run outside in a tshirt or tank top. However not suitable for dinner out or a business meeting (unless you are combing both lol). However I am not a fan of bikini tops as casual clothing but great for a beach or pool.
even though I am Canadian I still don't run around topless - might knock myself out or something.0 -

Personally yeah, I would not wear a bikini top outside the pool or a beach, but I have seen women go to the grocery store on a couple occasions in a bikini top and shorts. I grew up in the mid to late 90's low rise jeans and crop top era so maybe it normalized my view of showing stomach/abs.

sometimes I really love Ontario
its always made me happy to know that I could go topless if I wanted to . I have spent most of my life seeing women topless in public once in a while too im not scarred for life about it either0 -
Talk about "out of context", what is it about Wal-mart and unforgettable wardrobe choices? PJ's, IMO, are not suitable attire for grocery shopping.0

In yoga class, absolutely. For some reason I like very little clothing on when I'm doing yoga. On the floor out in the gym-no. Running out on the street-not for me, but some ladies pull that off nicely.0

I have to say that when I see a gal in only a sports bra inside the gym, (no matter how great she looks!) I think, "Really? No one gets that hot." I assume she wants to show off and get guys to check her out. Guys don't work out without shirts on inside the gym, at least, they aren't allowed to at my gym.
If you are outside running, that's a whole other thing, I say go ahead if it really is hot out. Completely different scenario.0
