Hi everyone!

I love yoga, and I own some DVD's for strength building and general fitness. I usually do PowerYoga types of workouts. Now that I've been running 5 days a week, and doing the 30 Day Shred everyday, I need some extra stretching. I feel like my legs are seizing up. lol Not really, but they are getting pretty tight. So, does anyone know of a good Yoga DVD I could pick up that concentrates mostly on stretching and relaxation? I don't really want to add more strength training right now; I just need a good stretch.

If you can get your hands on it, the P90x series has a stretching dvd that I love!

I don't know if this will end up posting twice, since I just got an odd message saying "your reply cannot be blank". So, if it is, please ignore. If not, please read on:

I love Elena Brower's Yoga for Beginners by Element. It has many good leg stretches and hip openers. Also, Natasha Rizopolous has a three DVD set, the second of which has good leg stretches/hip openers. Finally, if you can get your hands on a P90X X-Stretch DVD--that will leave you limber. Tony Horton has what he dubs his "Hamstring Section" that is great.

I'm with everyone else that Stretch X is very good, but I also just make a play list of youtube videos of different stretches.

Thanks for the suggestions! I couldn't find any of them at Walmart today, though. I ended up buying the GAIAM A.M. Yoga. It sort of looks like what I need. I'll let you know how it is. :-)

you can check out the yogajournal.com website for some ideas also. I teach a yoga for runners class, there are specific exercises that runners need! Be sure to include Lots of hip openers, twists, hamstrings and quads. using yoga straps for certian poses really help also. And you need to HOLD the poses for 30 sec- 90 seconds...and sometime go into them twice, second time deeper stretch.

The DVD I bought, has five sessions that each concentrate on something different. I just got done doing the hip opener session, and it was amazing!! I feel so much more relaxed and flexible. These will definitely become part of my daily routine!
