    i live in san juan capistrano, south orange county. there are some cool places down here!! one trail leads to a waterfall, i think its called oretega falls :)

    Not sure about OC but Griffith Park is a great hiking place. And anywhere in the Santa Monica Mountains--I hear is amazing. My aunt hikes there regularly. I can get you some details if you ever venture this far north!

    I'm in LA, I do Runyon Canyon, Griffith Park.. sometimes venture out to Malibu State Park. All three are pretty intense hikes.

    In the IE I definitely recommend Lytle Creek...especially when it warms up enough to hike through the creek.
