We will take measurements tomorrow but at least log in your food intake. I started with breakfast and snacks and I'm so shocked that I only have 500 left to eat for the rest of lunch and dinner. Will have to exercise so I can eat a bit more

I'm not sure where this was directed to, but it's a good idea. Track your current food intake and see how far over your goals you are. It can be eye-opening to see how many calories we're consuming every day.

Once you become more aware, start to make small changes in your diet - reduce some higher-cal items, increase things like veggies which are filling and lower cal. Keep working at it until you can come in at goal, whilst including some of your must-have items. (For me, I found it easier to reduce my bread/pasta/rice intake quite drastically, but I HAVE to have a little bit of chocolate every day. Your preferences will be different)

Make sure you've read all the stickies at the top of the forum, too. Tons of great information there.

    Good luck!

It can be an eye opener when you first start logging what you are eating. When I started I had gained a bunch of weight and found out by using this site that I was eating a few thousand calories a day.

If you have a bunch of people involved in this, you can start a group and invite everyone as members if you want to do goal-oriented supportive dieting .. here http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/groups

otherwise the OP looks a little weird as generic advice, particularly if you've been logging your food for a significant amount of time
