and wow, what a great feeling it gives you! Just had my 2nd session with the PT and I asked him to show me one and that I wanted to do it....I loved it (in a weird way), the feeling of lifting the weight (albeit not to heavy) was so rewarding!
Now I know why everyone says "Yes, you should ne deadlifting"

I've only been deadlifting for a few months now, but I've definitely seen some good changes since the first time.0

I did my first last week with my personal trainer and although I could barely move the two days after I loved it. I'm hoping we'll be doing more tomorrow0 -
They are addicting. It makes me happy every time I do them.0

I didn't lift heavy but still got that "I've done something" feeling...will defo be incorporating these in my routines....I also did goblet squats, walking lunges, tricep dips, shoulder press and a bicep exercise where your feet are on the floor/you dig your heels in and pull yourself up - anyone know what this is called? I forgot what the PT said it was called but each time I have a session with the PT I've been writing all the workouts down so I don't forget what we did.
Then ended with some boxing which I didn't particular enjoy haha!0 -
Congratulations! You’ve found the secret sauce. As you add weight, follow good form religiously. There is risk with this lift, but great rewards when it is done well.
The exercise you’re describing seems to be a scaled version of the chin up. You should feel it in your back (particularly your latissimus dorsi or “lats” and biceps). If you reverse your hands (overhand) you’ll be doing a scaled pull up, which focuses on the lats more (but also hits the biceps some).0 -
Love deadlifts! Keep it up and you will make great progress.0

I agree completely. It feels amazing. There are a lot of variations too. I like the one legged deadlift also but the traditional one with legs straight is my fav. I am a huge propenent for lifting overall. I am one happy girl when I have my weights. I just resumed my program after about 6 weeks and I have that day after soreness in my triceps. I feel alive again! Hahahaha!0
