Dancing Fool for the song maybe?
I went to Catholic school so the Head Mother reference goes down that road. Maybe it's blocking me.

Some research shows Frank Zappa, The Guess Who, and Barry Manilow did a song by that name.

I'm going to give this one to deckerp. I was looking for Dancing Fool by Frank Zappa, the head Mother of Invention.

I feel bad about that one since it doesn't really ring a bell. But now I think I have a clue right along the lines of what Snookeroo had in mind when this started.

Barry Manilow + Dick Clark = [song]
