I am home the whole time, I don't excersise due to personal reasons. My weight ranges between 148 lbs and 153 lbs

I want to go down to 120~125 lbs

I am not sure how many calories I should consume to lose weight with my lifestyle

What are you unsure about? Do you think you need more? Less?

Yeah, after choosing sedentary and 0.5 lb /wk loss.... what does it give you?

Jane is right, your body will still burn calories even if you do no exercise - for breathing, digesting and all of the other bodily functions etc.

Maybe try some low impact activites to start off with at home, to build up your activity levels slowly?

    Good luck.

I just inputted your information into this calculator and assuming you're around 5'5, it says approx 1340 calories for a 15% reduction off your TDEE. If you want to go with a 10% reduction (smaller deficit), then 1440 calories/day.

MFP also says as a guide:

"For safe weight loss, the National Institutes of Health recommends no less than 1000-1200 calories for women and 1200-1500 calories for men.

Even during weight loss, it's important to meet your body's basic nutrient and energy needs. Over time, not eating enough can lead to nutrient deficiencies, unpleasant side effects & other serious health problems.

    To safely meet your goals:
Focus on consuming nutrient-rich foods and beverages
Check your progress in MyFitnessPal throughout the day
Add nutritious snacks between meals as needed"
