Another newbie here! My introduction!

Hello -

My friends told me about this website and I figured I would try it out.

I am 37, have a full time job and a 4 year old. I am devoted to being fit and leading a healthy lifestyle in any way I can, despite my limited time. I am a vegetarian. I was vegan for 18 yrs but just recently started eating dairy - like yogurt, mostly.

I just completed my first half marathon earlier this month. I am planning on doing 2 more in the fall. I am not ready for a full one yet AT all. I mostly enjoy running 5K and 10K races.

I am a Zumba instructor and a certified fitness instructor through AFAA.

I am not overly concerned with weight loss. I am by no means thin, and because I am so muscular I weigh more than I look, and actually weigh more than I should considering my height. I focus on eating healthy though and rarely weigh myself.

I am trying to incorporate more weight training but between running, my job, and Zumba, it is hard. I have P90X, but I find it hard to carve out an hour to do it since I wake up so early for the gym (4:30am) and mys on goes to sleep at 9:00 - i have no morning time, and evening I need to get to bed early - so I try and squeeze it in wherever I can.

So, that's a little about me - I am looking forward to getting to know you guys!

    You sound like someone that could give me great advice and encouragement. Welcome to MFP. It is very supportive and fun community.
