sugar goal changes daily?

Why does mfp change my sugar goal daily? It varies from 56 to 110 grams per day. I almost always over which I am working on but with variances like that I might never get it right. Anybody else have this issue?

Weird. That sounds like a bug. Are you using the app or the online version? If the app, you might try deleting the app and then downloading it again to see if that fixes it.0

I have also noted daily changes but I don't know why.0

It's probably not a bug. All the macro nutrient goals are % of your total calorie goals.. as you log your exercises, your calorie goals go up, so therefore so do your macros.0

I have never experienced my sugar goal changing, but I use the TDEE method, so I don't enter exercise. Also, I use the online version, not the app, and sugar is not one of the five nutrients that I track, so I can only view my sugar consumption in the report format, which doesn't show goals.0

Sorry I should have put some more info. I use a fit bit flex so I don't log e exercise unless it's something not step based. I just let fitbit make the adjustments. And I use the app. I'll have to pay attention and see if the sugar goal changes throughout the day. I work night shift so when I logged my lunch, which is actually my first meal of the day it said I was approaching my sugar level. So I scrolled through a few previous days and realized that it was different each day0

There is a fixed sugar limit every day, or there is in my diary. If I enter no food yet, my sugar allowance for the next few days is all the same. But, when I add in exercise, my sugar allowance increases. So it may be that you have different exercise amounts and calories burned every day, and that's what causes the variance.
Look at a few empty days with no entries to see what your baseline is. And then, even if exercise or calories burned increases it, try and stay below the base level to be safe as your target. Hope that helps.0 -

it's a stupid goal unless you have a medical condition that means you should track your sugar
it will be dependent on your TDEE - so you will get additional grammes if you log more exercise
but I'd swap it out for fibre or something useful - best way0 -
It's a percentage of your total calories, that's why.0

As your fitbit adjusts your calories, your macro goals will all increase to maintain the percentage they are set to. Protein, carbohydrates, and fat will all increase, and since sugar is also set as a percentage of your total calorie goal, it will also increase.0 -
I had the sugar on my tracker at first. I eat a lot of fruits and vegetables and it always said I was over so I switched it to fiber instead. Problem solved, im still losing weight and I dont look at my sugar but im sure its still over what MFP says it should be.0

Thanks everyone, I think I might do like some of you are suggesting and just take the sugar off the screen. It's always negative and it it's kind of a constant failure in my mind so for now I don't think I need it. Thanks again!0
