I have a 6" exercise step that I just step up and down on while watching a 30 minutes program but I have no idea how many calories I am burning. Does anybody know how I can figure this out please?

    he's being sarcastic

it depends on your height, weight, intensity and resistance level

best logging it on the MFP database and taking half the calories it suggests

there's a wii fit step in there - and it sounds a similar height

Thank you, I have looked about and there is so many differing opinions that 42 did not surprise me. I will go though the MFP and look at the Wii fit step.

I did have a number from somewhere, but its not that high. What rabbit said, especially intensity. Nor sure id rate it really . Maybe akin to walking. Id go for about 150.

did you half the calories it suggested - because you should

and then track your weight loss over 8 weeks and compare to find out if you can back a greater proportion

Yes it did, put in 15mins instead of the 30 to half which gave a calorie burn of 61

cool .. you could also double click on the actual calorie amount and amend it before entering - if you wanted to keep a record of time spent to look back on
