Recommiting and Going Strong

OK, I'll introduce myself again. I made myself wait until I was a week in before I wrote. I'm Jen, 43, mom to three great kiddos. I'm not new to MFP, but have not been active for a while. I'm recommitting to making conscious choices and to moving more.

I have a strong plan in place and I'm ready to do this work one step at a time. I know I will not be perfect, I will make mistakes, but I'm working hard to continue to do the work as quickly as I can after I mess up. I'm beginning to do the behind the scenes work I need to do to change my habits and my life. Right now I'm working on self trust--doing what I say I will do--and time management so I have time to prep my food, get my work outs in, and tackle the things that I say are important to me.

I'm using the scale as a progress checker, but it's about SO much more than that--how I feel, how I feel in my body, leading my family, showing up for myself every day. I'm not overly concerned about doing this fast, but I am wanting to make steady progress. I'm working hard to figure this out so that I can not only lose the weight but sustain that loss.

I've used MFP before to get support from great people who are going though their own process. I can use all the help I can get, so add me if you would like a new, positive friend who tries to be active on MFP. I've also recently joined the Half Size Me community, which is a great place to be, so feel free to add me if you have a connection there as well.

Glad to be here with you!

Hi, nice to meet you. I am the same in that I have re-introduced myself on here. Last year, I made a massive change and lost quite a bit of weight. In addition, I was the healthiest I have ever been and was going to the gym around 3-4 times a week.

Unfortunately, I stopped going to the gym, began eating rubbish and all my hard work went down the drain. I have decided to come back and try again and hopefully keep it going. I'm going to visit this website a lot more I think for motivation and hopefully keep track of what I am eating and how much activity I am doing.
