Worked out all my life but never got a 6 pack

Hi, I'm Michael. I'm 6'0 163 lbs. I am 37 yo and I have been working out religiously for years. I've got definition but I have never achieved the elusive 6-pack that I always wanted. I workout at the gym 5 days a week and run outside 2-3x/wk. I knew it must be my diet so I started this myfitnesspal last week and changed my diet completely to lean protein and lots more veges. I'm hoping to get a six pack in 5 weeks for the beach. I hope it works! Any tips will be appreciated!

Eat at a calorie defecit to get your body fat down
Follow a progressive lifting programme0 -
It Is complicated. It's a good mix though. Gonna follow it hardcore for a month and see what happens...0

I don't do abs specifically.... But have decent definition when I'm lean. My "ab" workout is squats and deads.
You have abs. Everyone has abs. You just have to lose enough fat to see them - you don't have to stick to lean protein and vegies to do so,in fact it suggest you need to eat fat as well. Cutting fat will not make you lose fat.0 -
You already have abs, the reason you can't see them is because they are covered with a layer of body fat. They only way to get them to show and have the definition you are looking for is to lower your body fat %. Eat at a reasonable calorie deficit, get to 10-12% body fat, your abs will show.
