Mind over matter

Mainly posting to get motivated and stay in the mindset that I can achieve my fitness goal. A huge part of changing bad eating habits is the mindset you have. I believe the main problem many of us encounter is when we are faced with choosing a healthy meal opposed to something unhealthy, we sometimes think to ourselves "one time won't hurt" or we feel like we may not get the chance to eat that certain dessert again (which isn't true because food will always be around). Even though I know this I still find myself struggling with picking unhealthy foods when out with friends esp when it comes to sweets. So how can I stay in the mindset where unhealthy foods do not appeal to me?

It is SO HARD to be the friend who has to order something a bit more healthy when your friends are eating junk. This is, hands down, my biggest struggle. Why do I have to watch what I eat for the rest of my life? It's not fair! But, it's a price that is so so worth it when you can catch a glimpse of the your future self. When the scale moves, or your jeans become a little looser, you won't miss that hamburger you didn't have. It's hard, but worth it. ♥0
