Credibility of Values

Hi. I'm fairly new to MFP but I'm concerned about some of the values that I see posted. For instance, I can exercise today and log my calories burned and then log back in tomorrow using the same information and the value is different. Can someone help me? Oh, and by the way, I need all the motivation I can get so I'm looking for support along this journey.
Thank you!
Thank you!

I too find the values significantly off. I invested in a heart rate monitor for $40 at wal-mart. This way I am sure of the number of calories I am burning and not overestimating and eating them back.0

It seems people are getting heart rate monitors as opposed to body media type monitors. I'll weigh my options. Thanks for confirming my thoughts.0

I don't find that they vary day to day, but do find that MFP gives a different estimate to other sites/calculators.
Don't panic too much about it, I don't have an HRM and have lost over 30 pounds using MFP estimates for food and exercise, and I know lots of others have too.0
