It may just be your body's way of telling you that it doesn't like the sugary sweetness of the tea anymore. My suggestion would be a peppermint (to soothe your tummy) and then lots of water to flush your system. Hope you're feeling better soon! :flowerforyou:
  • i get really sick to my stomach if i consume excessive amounts of sugar in one sitting (very nauseaus and want to throw up)....there used to be a time when sugar wasn't a problem but now that i am a healthier eater, a cupcake (my absolute fav!) can throw me over the edge...so maybe your body has made that adjustment and is giving you a hint that sweet tea might not be a good idea...have some protein (if you can handle it) and that might help...try to stay away from anymore sugar today - even fruits and milk which have fructose and lactose...
  • Did you have any thing else with the tea?...if not, maybe you are just hungry! I am with FletcherChic...I can no longer tolerate too much sweet. I just about killed over after having some rootbeer float last week for a birthday celebration. I won't be doing that again any time soon!

I hope you are feeling better soon...drink lots of fresh water!
  • Thanks everyone! Im feeling much better Im pretty sure it was the sugar!& the pepermint was awesome.

glad you are feeling better......southern sweet tea is one thing to stay away from, that's allot of sugar. i live in SC. i know here it's more like tea with your sugar. the sugar will create sugar cravings. just hang in through those a few days and you will be fine.
    have a good weekend.....

Not sure how often you used to drink tea, but it is mildly acidic, plus it's caffeinated, so it might not have been the sugar at all - acids/caffeine can stir up reflux, which sometimes just feels like a stomachache.

That's the kind of note to make in your food diary, so you can see if there's a pattern (if you ever are up for trying sweet tea again!).

In any case, glad you're feeling better!
