I purchased a New Balance LifeTrakr to track my steps and calorie burn instead of constantly carrying my phone. However, I am really skeptical. It has me at 13,000 steps so far (my Accupedo app would normally be close to 5000 by this time). Also, the calorie burn is 1200. It is 10:30 am; I have been up since 4:00 am .
How do you get the most accurate calorie burn overall. I am really looking for accurate information throughout this process.
Thanks

I use the basis b1 but am going to upgrade to the basis peak. for now the b1 works really well basis is consistently rated as the best tracker around.

Did you do a check...like taking a specific number of steps to see if it is registering the steps correctly? Did you enter your stride length correctly?

I did not. I guess I will pay around with it this weekend while walking the trail.
My main reason for purchase was to get a better idea of actual calorie burn but I'm guessing this number is reflected off of the time/steps taken.
At the rate it is calculating for me I should be losing a pound a day
