I wear a heart rate monitor when I do insanity. Not sure how accurate my burns are but I am loosing so it can't be that far off. :-)0

I've read online that people burn 800-1000 calories generally in an hour of insanity, which sounds incredibly high to me. I usually log 500 for an hour, which also seems high, so I try not to eat all those back. Yesterday's class I didn't do any jumping things (stuck to non jumping modifications), because my knees were bothering me, so I logged a guesstimate of 375. But mine is purely based off what I read online an a guesstimate off that. I would like to try a HRM at some point.0

Yes I think a heart rate monitor is probably worth getting. Before I got a HRM I was logging insanity as 500 cals. When on avaverage I only burn about 300 cals per work out. Im only small so my calorie burns are fairly low.0
