hello everyone, I had my son about 6 months ago and had to have a c-section. I just started working out again to try and lose some extra weight I gained during my pregnancy as well as tone up. The issue I have is that when ever I try to do abdominal exercises my incision site begins to feel like it is stinging and kind of feels like pins and needles. Any one know of how to slowly start ab workouts post c-section? Any tips will help :)

I would start out with the easiest possible ab workout. I used this one after I had abdominal surgery a couple of years ago. https://youtube.com/watch?v=E-2nTyxdKA4
You could check with your Dr about the sensation you feel at your incision site if you're concerned.

Start slowly and do not focus on abs at first, but more whole body routines until you start getting back in shape. At 6 months you are healed, do not worry. Had 3 c-sections, around the 6 month mark I was allowed to get back to lifting, and doing intense work outs involving the abs.

Thank you! That's what I'm doing now, I am in no rush and just want to have the muscle control I had before baby. I know if I keep going I will get there. And I have a dr's appointment next week and will ask about the weird sensation on incision area.
