Fitbit Charge HR

i was wondering if my is calculating right. My steps were 14400 today and it says my calories burned is 1400 I know or feel like I didn't burn that much. I did burn 300 on a quick walk which I know is correct because I wore my polar fit too just so I could compare. But the other 1100 I don't get how I burned that off I did go up and down stairs 18 times and did a lot of errands but nothing to get your heart rate up. Anyone else finding this issue? I may have to separate the two accounts from each other and manually enter in my walks/ jogs and work outs because it says I have 1400 calories left to eat and there is no way that can be right!

I thought so too until I realized that simple things do increase my heart rate. Since I've had mine I've lost more weight than before.

Do you just stay in your bracket for eating unless you do a really good work out because for example 298 of the calories were burned off by power walk but the rest was just everyday life and I don't want to eat those calories if I'm not suppose to because I'm trying to loose weight and I'm not hungry and it's saying I have 1400 calories left to eat? My calorie intake for the day is 1421 And when I go to end my day it's going to te
Me I didn't eat enough calories what do you think?

Been using the Fitbit HR a couple months now and I find that it overestimates calories burned with walking (steps) and underestimates with my gym workouts. Overall, it seems to slightly overestimate my calories based on my dieting experience.

Probably best to look at the numbers as ballpark figures- I use mine to set my calorie "ceiling." So, if Fitbit says I burned 1700 calories I definitely try to stay under that number.
