I did a session today - 10 Minutes on the cross trainer & then 16 sets of LEGS & CHEST Exercises?
Are these not able to be counted as calorie burn?

Of course it does. Not much, but it does.0

Of course it does. But calories burned during a bench press depends on your own body. Also depends on intensity and volume. It's not a one size fit all constant number.0

Add "Strength training (weight lifting, weight training)" to Cardiovascular to get estimated Calories Burned added to your Diary. Please note that the Calories burned for Cardiovascular exercises provided by MFP are based on published metabolic equivalent of tasks (METs), which are estimates for a general population and may differ for you as an individual. If desired, add individual strength training exercises, such as "Biceps Curl," to Strength Training to have a log of sets, reps, and weights as individual exercises.
Please see these articles in the list of articles on this topic in the MFP Help pages...

^^ that.
i just give a blanket 50 calories for all strength training stuff, no matter how long i did it (i do a minimum of 10 minutes and can go up to half hour/ 40 minutes or so just depending on what im doing). I figure it covers actual and post burn. i also dont (deliberately) eat back those calories. thats what cardio is for LOL0 -

+1...
I usually give my workout (lifting days only) 80 calories. And this was based on adding weights, reps, or doing circuits..0 -
I just take strength workouts as a bonus, your body benefits from the calorie burn whether you log it or not.0

^ that. I dont track it but I work hard as hell doing it. If you are really working: drops, supers, low rest, high volume, etc then you will notice it in your weight...it will go down faster, or too fast. At that point you can just plan to eat more to compensate.0

I use the strength training entry in the cardio section. It gives me 250 calories most of the time (75 minutes) and I eat them.0

I give myself 250 calories for each weight training workout 70 minutes and guarantee I burn more than that!! 500 calories for my Cardio 60 minutes 16-18 miles in 50 minutes then two sets of 50 squats and two sets of 50 push ups super setted to start each day the machine says 700-800
