I drink the reccomended 8 glasses if not more of water and have no worries usually, however today i've been drinking the same amount and been to the loo more than normal (sorry)
Could this be the water retension from exercise finally letting go?

That's a possibility. It also could be that your body finally has enough water and can let more excess go. Or if you've had a high caffeine intake. Or lower sodium intake than normal. Or if you're at a point in your lady-cycle that you're not retaining water.
Your muscles retain water after work-outs to help repair cells damaged by working out, so if yesterday was an off day, you could be releasing some of that water as well. There are a myriad of different reasons why today could be different! :-D

So many things it could be...did you take any new medications today? For example antihistamines (like Benadryl is the US) will cause water to flush out of your system. Did you eat more salt than usual? Is it just after your "time of the month" (or TOM as I've seen people here call it)?

Sometimes your body changes itself up. Minor stuff like this is not something to worry about. If you were consistently going to the bathroom for days on end with little to nothing coming out, unable to make it to the bathroom or felt like you had to go but couldn't then there would be something to worry about.

This could be you just noticing that you have to go more, as opposed to before maybe you went just as often and didn't pay as much attention because you were distracted or something just as insignificant.

    TL;DR - don't worry about it, I'm sure you're fine :)

It definitely could be water retention releasing. I drank water like a maniac yesterday to try to flush out some of mine, and this morning I've been heading to the bathroom like a madwoman, but haven't had any more water or other fluids than normal...so I was actually wondering the same thing about myself when I saw this thread. :)

Just an update! I'm sure you wanted to know lol!
After yesterdays large amount in the toilet the scales are showing. 3-4lb loss this morning! This is the first loss I've had in three weeks! I really do think my muscles were crying for a break so I gave them one and they repay me in weight loss lol! Very happy!

I find that after a few days of drinking 2-3 litres a day there is always one day where I go more than usual! I like to think it's my body flushing out toxins and all the retained water!

Excellent news on the weight loss!!! :) x
