Hello! Complementing an earlier post, I wasn't able to eat much today due to oral surgery. I'm following a low carb - high fat diet with good success (down 16 lbs in 6 weeks).

Today, my counts are way down because I'm just not able to chew yet. :)

Calories: Daily Goal - 2577; Today - 1,915
Carbs: Daily Goal - Under 30g; Today - 17g
Fats: Daily Goal - 200g; Today - 151g
Protein: Daily Goal - 161g; Today - 137g

I plan on being able to ramp back up tomorrow. One day of being off-kilter won't sabotage me, correct? Sorry if it's a stupid question, I'm kind of learning as I go here. :)

Thank you!

Nope, you're doing fine - especially considering you had that surgery. Focus on getting better, and then you can focus on your eating again.

As long as you weren't going hungry, you've got nothing to worry about!

No. Carry on when you can. Don't be upset if your weight fluctuates due to water retention.

Your nutritional habits over long term sustained periods of time matter, not one day or a handful. You will be fine.

Try to stop thinking of your food intake as a diet with strict inflexible rules and start thinking about eating healthy and calorie controlled for the rest of your life and you will be a lot more likely to lose weight and sustain loss. Bad days will still happen but just don't matter if your long term behavior is healthy.
