Recovering Anorexic Who Wants to Diet RIGHT

I've been in recovery from anorexia for 2 years now, and I've managed to maintain a healthy weight without falling into old habits. But my newfound recovery from drug addiction has left me with a drawer full of jeans that no longer fit, and I don't want my old eating disordered ways to replace my addiction. Any tips from other recovering ED sufferers on how to diet without taking it too far?? Thanks ~

00Skinnyravegirl, that's an interesting user name.
Your post says you're maintaining a healthy weight. Why not buy new jeans? What am I missing?0 -

+1..
But I think I have got it now. She is a recovering ED, she got to a healthy weight and then started with the drugs and lost it again.. but not due to ED..
BTW, people with ED (as you still say you have it) do not diet (lose weight) they learn to gain and then maintain... This is by slowly increasing calories as needed till you reach the goal weight..

I used to be anorexic. To be honest though, I still have an eating disorder, it's just a more functional-able with, 'sensible' type. So not sure if I'm the kind of person you're looking for advice from but feel free to add me if you want. I'm working on getting lots of protein and being at least 80% 'real' unprocessed food. And getting as close to 1000 cals as I can (I'm still frightened of 4 figures and not getting the warning sign which is kind of pathetic but hey!) My aim is to be going for 1100 by June, 1200 by July and so on. Unless of course I go completely the other way and start bingeing which can also happen!0

When I was sick I was under 100lbs, then maintained between 110-115 which is what I'm trying to get back to. Drug use actually didnt make me lose or gain, but rehab brought me up to 130 which has triggered a lot of anxiety.
